Vision & Values

Striving to be the best version of ourselves every day.

Inspired by God’s love, we humbly strive to be the best version of ourselves every day in every way.

We cherish the dignity of each precious person: thankfulness, friendship, forgiveness and hope are at the heart of our inclusive community.

At Christ Church CEP Academy we have four Christian Values which relate to our school story of Zacchaeus, they are: Friendship, Thankfulness, Forgiveness and Hope.

Each term has a different value, which we focus on in our whole school Worships and termly Buddy Worship.

In term 1: We look at and remind ourselves of our school story of Zacchaeus.

In term 2: Friendship.

In term 3: Thankfulness.

In term 4: Forgiveness

In term 5: Hope

In term 6: We look at the bigger picture of 'Love'. Using Jesus as our role-model, who showed love to the down trodden and broken-hearted, those who were the most in need. We reflect on our own Christian Values which without the value of love, would have no meaning at all. We reflect that in our own community we all need each other to be able to share in our love for each other and that love of God.

The Story of Zacchaeus

From the book of Luke in the Bible Luke 19, verses 1-10 (International Children’s Bible)

1 Jesus was going through the city of Jericho. 2 In Jericho there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a wealthy, very important tax collector. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was too short to see above the crowd. 4 He ran ahead to a place where he knew Jesus would come. He climbed a sycamore tree so he could see Jesus. 5 When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and saw Zacchaeus in the tree. He said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down! I must stay at your house today.” 6 Zacchaeus came down quickly. He was pleased to have Jesus in his house. 7 All the people saw this and began to complain, “Look at the kind of man Jesus stays with. Zacchaeus is a sinner!” 8 But Zacchaeus said to the Lord, “I will give half of my money to the poor. If I have cheated anyone, I will pay that person back four times more!” 9 Jesus said, “Salvation has come to this house today. This man truly belongs to the family of Abraham. 10 The Son of Man came to find lost people and save them.”
